Berçin, while at BURO47 architecture, collaborated with a locally rooted retailer in Southlands, Tsawwassen to design an inviting space that highlights Canadian-made products and everyday essentials. The store offers a thoughtful mix of food, beauty, home, and lifestyle goods with a strong emphasis on sustainability and community values.

The design captures the brand’s commitment to conscious living through the use of natural textures, adaptable shelving for evolving merchandise, and an open layout that encourages ease of movement and discovery. Every detail supports the shop’s mission to make local and organic living more accessible, from fresh yeast-free sourdough on Saturdays to a selection of take and bake meals, books, and meaningful gifts.

This project celebrates the spirit of local business and reflects our shared belief that good design can foster connection, intention, and well-being in everyday life.
